The HYAA cheer program is for girls in Grades 1 – 8.  There is no minimum skill or experience required.

All participants are placed on a squad based on grade they’re going into Fall of 2017.

Mighty Mites – Grades 1 -2

Mites – Grades 3-4

Peewees – Grades 5 – 6

Midgets – Grades 7 – 8

All sideline cheerleaders will be cheering at weekly football games as well as post season play.

Fee for the season is $100.00 through May 15th. Beginning on May 16th an additional $35.00 late fee will be added to all registrations.

In addition to the registration fee, additional costs will be incurred for sneakers, booty shorts, crop tops, jackets and warm up pants and bows.

 

There will be a clinic for all sideline cheerleaders to attend on:

Sunday August 13th - 8:30-12:30

 

Practices will begin week of August 14th at coaches discretion.

Cheer parents will be designated to volunteer at least one home game during the Fall 2017 season.

The HYAA Competition Cheerleading program is for girls currently registered in Sideline Cheerleading in grades 3 – 8 who wish to participate in Competition Cheer.  This program is in addition to sideline cheer and choreography and practices are mandatory for anyone on competition team.  This is a serious commitment and practices will increase as we get closer to competition dates (see below for dates).

The fee for Competition Cheer is $250 per child.

Mandatory Summer Clinic:

Sunday Aug. 13th 8:30am - 12:30pm

Practices will be held beginning Mon., Aug. 14th at coaches discretion

NOTE:  IF YOUR DAUGHTER IS PLANNING TO DO COMPETITION CHEER IN THE FALL SHE MUST ATTEND THE CHOREOGRAPHY. WE CANNOT MAKE ANY EXCEPTIONS

 

Competition Dates:

Sat November 4th - tentative East Coast Showdown Competition 

Sat November 18th  - OCYCA Cheer Competition

A third competition may be added

All cheerleaders should be attending tumbling in the off season.  ECE has open gym dates available and several camps and tumbling clinics. You can like them on Facebook and also check their website for dates, times, etc.

 

There will be a free cheer clinic open to all interested cheerleaders in late May.

HYAA asks for your cooperation in respecting its eligibility rules (birthdates, grade level). Administrators and coaches make an earnest attempt to create balanced teams within each division and to provide equal opportunities to win and lose. We strongly encourage parents to register children online at: www.hyaa.net, it helps streamline the process and all of your information will be securely stored and accessed for future registrations. You will also receive HYAA's monthly eblast updates on HYAA events. If you register your child during late registration or after registration closes, you will be subject to a $25 late fee and subject to space availability. Parents are encouraged to participate in a positive manor and support their child while not disparaging other children.
